TRIBUTE TO ALBANI ZARIA
“....Look at the services (da muke) rendering to the society, to the government itself, but look at how they pay it back to us on a negative side of it....” [sic]
-         Muhammad Auwal Adam Albani
Saturday, February 1, 2014, about four or five hours to his assassination. Cassette number 172 of Sahih Muslim
If the killing of Islamic scholars can make people become mealy mouthed fellows, Albani could have not become a scholar. This is because, many God fearing, well learned men whose pen and tongue portray the truth and keep people religiously  informed  were murdered long before Albani was born, and many would be assassinated now and in the near future. That is why imprisonment, torture, killing at most had not become a wet blanket to Malam Albani.
Allahu Akbar! The assassination of Malam Albani reminds me of a verse in the Glorious Quran:
AND MANY A PROPHET FOUGT (In Allah Cause) AND ALONG WITH HIM (fought) A LARGE BAND OF RELIGIOUS LEARNED MEN. BUT THEY NEVER LOST HEART FOR THAT WHICH DID BEFALL THEM IN ALLAH’S WAY, NOR DID THEY WEAKEN NOR DEGRADE THEMSELVES AND ALLAH LOVES THE PATIENT (Q3:146)
What is worrying me seriously most is the bad reward with which Nigerians honoured Albani. He was given appointment to serve in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where his life would be a bed of roses, but he rejected the offer saying: I love my people, my country needs me, I want to let my people know the sunnah of my Master, Muhammad Rasulullahi.
Poor Albani! He did not know that his country is plotting against him. Uhm!       I really commensurate with him.
I have to let the killers and all those behind it know that:
1.     Albani was only killed but not defeated. His footprints in the sand of time will never be wiped out. His teachings, motivations, awareness, revolution, will surely be in existence till when Allah (swa) will inherit the land and all that is upon it.

2.     Albani is a big gun, not only in Nigeria but the world at large. His funeral had revealed the truthfulness of what I have said. The land of Zazzau had never before witnessed a funeral like Albani’s. In fact it is a funeral like no other.

3.     Albani was a hero. In heroism and hardworking, he was not comparable to any contemporary scholar. What he was shouldering alone and alone during his life time is now shared among some well learned men.

4.     Albani had gone and left you with your dirty Nigeria. May his soul rest in perfect peace. May Allah accept his martyrdom. Amen
To his successors, I have to say: you should remember that you have worn a battle-dress and the verge on then either side of the path to the battle field is very thorny. Patience, perseverance and God fearing are the prerequisite for gaining success in daawa.
What a pity! Hauwa’u, a little girl of just three years asked one of our grandmother, “Yafindo, me Albani ya yi musu su ka kashe shi?” meaning : Why did they killed Albani? This question made the old woman to burst into tears that even her tear duct had witnessed that the old woman was sad about the homicide. The tears of this old woman and that of all who sobbed over the carnage would rip the killers and their sponsors up! Amen
